Who is Catwinger?

Catwinger is a small American business, focused on limited production of wing seats for Hobie 16 and 14 beach catamarans. In 2025, Catwinger was granted a provisional patent for its wing seat product, which uses an innovative hinging mechanism, reinforced seat, and a rigid polyethlene base. The parts combine into an easily removable wing seat that attaches to the boat with no need for drilling or bolting into the boat itself.

Catwinger's founder and product designer has over 30 years experience sailing Hobie Cats with his local Hobie fleet . We build and ship each wing seat from our workshop in coastal Rhode Island, USA. Each set is made to order, and we like to speak with each buyer to confirm a few boat details before building.
